Women's Cricket
Our women’s team was launched in 2019 and quickly grew. Until this year, it was based solely at our new ground and pavilion at Grafham. However this year, its activities will be split between Grafham and the club's main ground at Blackheath, where the regular weekly training session will take place (see below).
Since 2021 we have been entering teams in the new I’Anson women’s softball league, who play their matches on Sunday afternoons. However, our older girls have been playing hardball cricket for a while now and in 2024 Blackheath women (which also includes U14-U18 girls) will be playing one or two hardball as well as softball games against other I’Anson League clubs.
Winter training
Our winter training programme will be running at Cranleigh School from 11am to 12 noon on Sundays starting on 7 January 2024. For further details and to sign up, see "What's On" below.
Summer training
In a change to previous years, in 2024 training will take place at Blackheath on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm-8pm (at the same time as the older girls' training), starting on Thursday 18 April. All sessions will be run by a professional coach and the bar will be open during the evening.
Subscriptions and further information
Subscriptions for the women's section in 2024 are £55 (which includes all match fees). We are keen to attract new members of all standards and would love to hear from you. Please contact Helen or Sue (see below) for more details.
