There are no league matches on Coronation Day (Saturday 6 May), however all members and families are most welcome to come to the club on the day, where the plan is to watch the Coronation together on the big TV in the pavilion before a picnic lunch, kids games and then a club match in the afternoon.
The proposed order of events is as follows ...
10am: Club opens for those wanting to watch the build up to the Coronation. Teas, coffees and bacon rolls will be available.
11am: The Coronation
12pm-2pm: Immediately following the Coronation, the bar will open and there will be a picnic lunch at the club. Everyone should bring their own picnic, although there will be burgers on sale for those who want them. Subject to numbers, there will also be games organised for the kids.
2pm-5pm: A club match between two suitably matched Blackheath teams. Precise format to be decided though likely to be either a T20 or a Hundred game.Details will be finalised and an availability request will go out to the seniors and older boys in the next few days.
Hope to see you there!
