Social Membership
Blackheath is a very sociable club that likes to welcome local people of all kinds. If you love cricket that's great, but there are plenty of other reasons to join us even if you don't. If you want to meet your friends, neighbours and other members of your local community in a relaxed and beautiful setting, this is a great place to do it.
In addition to our normal calendar of cricket matches during the summer we also run a variety of social events throughout the year, from quiz nights and dinners to occasional outdoor theatre, concerts and even charity balls.

The bar is well-stocked and it's regularly open on Thursday and Friday evenings from around 5pm during women's and junior practice sessions, on Saturday and Sunday afternoons/evenings during and after matches, and also at other times for specific social and sporting events. We run a BBQ on Friday evenings until late July and provide suppers at the club on Saturday evenings after men’s league matches, all at very reasonable prices.
Blackheath is a private members' club, so to take advantage of the bar and all we have to offer you need to join us, but social membership only costs £5. Once you're a member you're on our mailing list for news etc, you're welcome at the bar to buy drinks, and hopefully you'll feel a part of the club.
Parents of junior playing members automatically become social members upon registering their child with the club.
(Note that social membership does not entitle you to vote at the club’s Annual General Meeting. Only full members, playing or non-playing, can do that).
